Tooraking Fine Chinese Cuisine
So, how easy is it to come home, flop on the couch and suck up a glass of red?
What about come home, throw on some runners, and suck in the fresh air?
Regular exercise, work-life balance, happiness, satisfaction, mental wellbeing and good nutrition are aspects of life we all aspire to, yet probably find difficult to package in nicely.
On this special evening of 1 September 2016, not only were two fabulous guest speakers on tap, but it was the first joint gathering of the CPBA and ACMAV. These two professional associations have been long established in Melbourne, yet never joined forces until now. The focus of this evening was health promotion – health body healthy mind. This was headed by guest speakers Associate Professor Michael Wong, a consultant psychiatrist, and Rebecca Hallam, an accredited exercise physiologist. Both presented their respective topics in a concise and insightful manner, and generated plenty of questions from the audience. Together with a wholesome banquet provided thanks to Tooraking Fine Chinese Cuisine, this first joint seminar was informative for all and no doubt there will be a series of further health promotion talks in the future. Thank you to Dr Lilia Ilina, a key member in both associations, for her instrumental role in this event.
